GET YOUR FAITH DIRTY
A new livelihood project!
We are so happy to finally get to share with you something amazing the Lord has done for Yunior and Albert. If you’ve ever had the privilege of meeting these two, you know they are full of Jesus! They are passionate about sharing the Gospel and have dedicated their lives to being on mission with Jesus. They are evangelic machines! Not only that, they are so much fun. When they get to laughing, they bring joy to everyone around them…it’s contagious! So, when the Lord gave Jeff the go ahead to help them with a livelihood project, Jeff asked them how we could support their mission of reaching people in the hard to reach parts of their island that would also support them with their family and ministry expenses. We all prayed, and a taxi was the most obvious choice. This would enable them to travel (they were having to hire a taxi for several days) and could be used when we brought teams into town. Not only that, it could be used daily to make money to support both families and the ministry needs they have. It was perfect! But, there was one problem. Cars on the island are difficult to purchase and very expensive. As we started the process of finding a car, reaching out to people to help fund this project, and finding a way to get money to them we were also having to deal with the repercussions of a pandemic and a political uprising which did not make things easy. BUT it was not impossible! After several months it finally happened. Albert and Yunior have a taxi! To say they are thrilled doesn’t even begin to describe how thankful they are to God and those who serve with them in the Lord’s army who made this possible. They sent us a short video I’m so happy to share with you:
Progress in Uganda
Things are also coming together on the Maternity Home in Uganda! Pastor Kato has been faithful to keep us updated on all that is happening from his gardening to the construction. As you can see there are windows and doors now, and we’ve just wired over the money to do the electrical and plumbing. Please continue to pray for the workers and those ministering to them. Things are moving according to schedule, which in and of itself is a miracle. We’re thankful to all who have helped this become a reality!
Cottage Project in Nepal
As you remember pastor Sanjeep in Pokhara, Nepal has been working on the first cottage of what we hope will be many more to come. Because of the Covid shutdown and restrictions in that country, things have slowed down tremendously. That project was almost complete, and they were working on the finishings when worked stopped. Continue to pray for Sanjeep and his family as well as all those in the church there. This has been a very difficult time physically, emotionally, and financially. There is a school here in town, Trinity Presbyterian School, that has a monthly campaign called Change for Change. They present a project each month and collect change to fund that project. In the month of October they will be collecting change to help Pastor Sanjeep and his ministry during this difficult time. Would you consider doing the same? Whatever we collect, and it doesn’t have to be just change, you can send checks or give online (please put Sanjeep in the memo line, or on your donation), we will forward that on to Nepal for you. Thank you for making a difference in peoples lives!
We are so privileged to be able to work with you to share the Gospel around the world and tell you about how the Lord is moving and answering prayers. You have been a constant in so many people’s lives, and I don’t think that you will ever know this side of heaven what a difference you are truly making. THANK YOU! You are making a difference in our lives, too. Thank you for loving and supporting us as we TREC together.
