Reaching the World for Christ

One TREC at a time.

TREC Missions

Your life will be forever changed as you share the gospel in word & deed and experience real life culture in the hard to reach places of the world.

Our TREC Team will custom design a mission for you or your team that meets with your time demands, physical capabilities and what part of the TREC model you wish to serve in. Mission TREC accommodations can vary from lodging in hotels in a larger city to living out of a backpack. Part of what we want you to experience is the culture. We will take you to where the average traveler doesn’t go to see and experience life as it really is in these areas. TREC is currently serving in Cuba, India, and Nepal.

the culture

Nepal is primarily Hindu and Buddhist, but Christianity is on the rise – especially after the earth shook April 15, 2015. With no where else to turn, homes in shambles, and loved ones injured or gone, the hope of Christ is on the move. Churches are growing, and entire families are turning to Him. Amidst the tourist and trekking culture, you will have the opportunity to live your faith while enjoying the beauty and adventure of Nepal. This is your opportunity to discover hands-on God’s heart for this corner of the world.

the mission

This mission will take you to the beautiful Himalayan mountain range. Being prepared physically is essential for this mission as we TREC among the people at elevations from 2,000-14,000 feet above sea level. You will be staying in homes of local villages, eating food prepared by them, hiking during the day, and living out of a pack the entire mission. Despite a growing middle class, a terrible first exists between the rich and poor of this mainly Hindu country. More than just dollars and lifestyles, this gap began generations ago in the caste system, and it has left the lower-caste people of India without hope.

Your team could bring the promise of Jesus into orphanages, leprosy colonies or tea plantation workers as you share the love of Christ with the least of these. Will you bring Him to the lost in India?

This mission is such an experience because you will travel to the tea garden districts of Northeast India. You will be staying in home of local villages, eating food prepared by them, hiking during the day, and living out of a pack the entire mission. You’ll get to experience life in tea gardens, see the snow capped Himalayas, and develop lasting relationships with the locals and those a part of your team.

the culture

Cuba is the largest island in the Caribbean and has been suffering from the rule of the communist regime since 1959. Before the US Embargo of 1960, Cuba was one of the most advanced and prosperous nations in Latin America.

Although about 59% of the population would consider themselves Catholic, Cuba recognizes itself as a secular nation. There is no national religion and witchcraft runs rampant throughout the island. However, over 50 years of hardship, persecution, and great resilience, disciples of Jesus are multiplying!

The Gospel is on the rise through the house church networks, but there is still great work to be done! We are being invited to partake in this great harvest of God’s people. Will you go?

the mission

We officially began working in Cuba in 2013 before the embargo lifted, and have been partnering with a ministry that trains and sends out obedient leaders to reach the nations. Since 2007 they have sent over 150 missionaries and planted over 60 churches!

On this mission you will stay in private Cuban houses and alongside local Cuban missionaries you may: encourage local church members, play sports with kids, share the Gospel with anyone you meet, share in Bible studies or church services, worship with local believers and visiting different church plants, pray for the sick and interceding on behalf of Cuba. Most importantly, by being open to the people and situations God places in front of you, the opportunities to serve Jesus and share the Gospel are endless.

Uganda is a religiously diverse nation with Christianity being the most widely professed faith. In Uganda, 41% of people live in poverty, and almost half of Uganda’s population is under the age of 15, representing one of the youngest populations in the world. Despite the economic hardships and health problems of the Ugandan people, Christ is being proclaimed and people are being saved. Come get your faith dirty with us and experience the joy of serving in Uganda.

On this mission you may be serving in the Maternity Home or Medical Clinic in the village and building relationships with Christians and non believers alike. As you build these relationships you’ll be telling others your story and hearing others as well. We believe that sharing stories of what the Lord is doing in our lives and how He brought us out of darkness into His marvelous light is the key to evangelism. The Lord called us to be witnesses to the world and that’s what we intend to do. No worries…we’ll teach you how!
