October 2020: Ministry Update

Rebulding in Nepal

Sanjeep (pictured below in blue) is surely the hands and feet of Jesus. When the mudslides took out about 70 homes on the side of a mountain near his town, Sanjeep went immediately to help. He has been onsite supervising the rebuilding of homes which you so generously provided for. THANK YOU!

Farming in Cuba

We have big hopes for Pastor Ricardo and his church’s farming project. He has done the work of leasing the land, and we are all behind this project to help feed people and sell produce and pork to cover ministry costs. We have been working for years developing livelihood project for our pastors and church planters in Nepal and India. The approach is the same in Cuba, just finding out people’s gifts and abilities and looking for a need to fill. You have helped provide the tractor and equipment needed to do the work, and Pastor Ricardo is so thankful! I keep telling you what a blessing you are to so many. Thank you for helping us do the things that need doing so that more people will hear about and know Jesus. That’s what it all comes down to!

From Pastor Ricardo

My dear brother, God continue to bless you. Here we are working hard on the farm and Church. Thank God on Sunday we held our first service after several months. We divided the congregation and did 2 services because they still do not allow us to congregate. We all hope that soon we can be together. The brothers are strengthened despite the difficult stage and the struggles of each one, but they all glorify the Father for the way he takes care of us in these times. Thank God all the airports except the one in Havana has opened to international tourism. Havana is expected to open at the end of the month so we believe it is very possible that you can come before the end of the year which would be a beautiful gift because we miss you a lot and we long to share all the good that God is doing. The congregation is aware of the news about you and pray that God accommodates all things and you can come greet the whole family. A hug for Trudy and for you all the love and gratitude of your Cuban brother, Ricardo.

Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter.

Proverbs 22:11

How You Can Pray:

  • For wisdom as we make travel plans to Cuba and Nepal
  • For our friends and partners who are struggling to find food and basic provisions
  • For favor and grace with governments who would prevent us from sending money and supplies
  • For the upcoming elections

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Ephesians 6:18

June 2024 – Ministry Update

During the summer months we don’t usually travel to Cuba, so we have been helping many families with supplies that I can purchase through online grocery stores. There are two stores we can access. One is called Diplomarket aka the “Cuban Costco” and the other is Supermarket 23. You’ve heard
