Faith doesn’t make things easy… it makes things possible!
GET YOUR FAITH DIRTY
India: Reaching the Mountains with the Gospel
Last year, Jeff and I had the privilege of traveling to India to spend time with our ministry partners, Jiwan and Esther. It was a journey that deeply impacted us as we witnessed firsthand what God is doing in some of the most remote regions of the country. Together, we traveled into the mountains, visiting churches scattered throughout villages that are difficult to reach and often isolated from the outside world.
As we worshiped with believers, listened to their testimonies, and prayed alongside them, we were reminded that God’s Kingdom is advancing even in places where following Christ comes with great challenges. Many of these believers face opposition and hardship, yet their faith remains strong and their desire to see others come to know Jesus is unwavering. We returned home encouraged and more committed than ever to partnering with those who are faithfully serving on the front lines of ministry.
One of the exciting opportunities Jiwan shared with us was his vision to build two churches high in the mountains where growing congregations desperately needed a permanent place to gather. Through the generosity of TREC supporters, funds were provided for both projects. We are thrilled to report that these churches have now been completed! The joy of the people was overwhelming as they watched these buildings take shape and finally become a reality. These churches will serve not only as places of worship but also as centers for discipleship, prayer, encouragement, and outreach for years to come. Thank you for helping make this possible.
We are also excited to announce that Jiwan and Esther will be visiting Montgomery July 17–21. During their time here, we will be arranging several home meetings where those who have never met them can hear Jiwan’s incredible testimony and learn more about the vision God has given them for the future of ministry in India.
In addition, we would like to invite everyone to our home (9140 Castle Pines Circle) on July 20th from 5-8 p.m. for an open house. This will be a wonderful opportunity to meet Jiwan and Esther, hear ministry updates firsthand, ask questions, and spend time together. We hope many of you will join us.
Cuba: Waiting on the Lord
While we rejoice over what God is doing in India, our hearts continue to be burdened for Cuba. Unfortunately, the situation there remains very difficult. In many ways, conditions seem to be worsening. The people are tired, hungry, and frustrated as they continue to face shortages and uncertainty in nearly every area of life.
Jeff had hoped to travel to Cuba in July, but after much discussion, both Yunior and Albert agreed that now is simply not the right time. We trust their judgment and continue to seek the Lord’s wisdom regarding future ministry opportunities. We ask that you join us in praying that conditions in Cuba will improve soon and that God will open doors for ministry once again.
Yet even in the midst of hardship, the churches continue to gather. One of the most encouraging reports we receive is that when believers come together, they begin by celebrating God’s goodness and thanking Him for His faithful provision. Their circumstances have not diminished their faith. In fact, their dependence upon the Lord serves as a powerful reminder of what truly sustains us.
We also have a unique opportunity right now to help meet urgent needs in Cuba. Yaili is currently in Miami for medical appointments, creating a safe and practical way for funds to be delivered directly to those who need them most. Every dollar sent will help provide food and essential necessities for families facing tremendous hardship. If the Lord places Cuba on your heart, we invite you to prayerfully consider making a special gift at this time.
As always, we want to express our deepest gratitude to each of you who faithfully pray, give, encourage, and serve alongside us. None of these ministry opportunities would be possible without your partnership. Together, we are seeing lives transformed, churches strengthened, and the Gospel carried to places that many will never have the opportunity to visit.
Thank you for standing with TREC International as we continue to follow God’s call to Teach, Reach, Equip, and Comfort. We are humbled by your support and grateful to labor together for His Kingdom.
With grateful hearts,
Jeff and Trudy McFarland
