October 2025 – Ministry Update

“And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.”

2 Corinthians 9:8

This month, I had the privilege of leading two different teams to Cuba—one from Thorington Road Baptist Church in Montgomery, AL, and another from New Palestine Baptist Church in Picayune, MS. What an incredible experience it was to watch the Lord use these teams to share the message of hope found in the gospel. We witnessed many people respond to the good news, and we could see the Lord transforming lives right before our eyes.

It is always deeply encouraging to see those we shared with on the streets come to worship the following Sunday. TREC family, the gospel remains the power of God unto salvation. Please join us in praying that the lives of those who received Christ will bear the lasting fruit of salvation.

While in Cuba, we also had the honor of encouraging our brothers and sisters who continue to live under extremely difficult conditions. Food, electricity, and fuel shortages—along with hyperinflation—are part of their daily reality. Dengue fever, a mosquito-borne viral infection known locally as “bone-break fever” because of its severe pain and high fever, is rampant due to the government’s lack of resources for mosquito control. With little to no medication available, many suffer greatly.

Yet, despite their hardships, our time together reminded us of a profound truth: we all face problems, but we serve a mighty God who is greater than them all. We spent time reflecting on His attributes, lifting our eyes from our circumstances to the One who sustains us. This shift in focus brought renewed peace as we meditated on the words of Isaiah 26:3–4:

“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trust in You. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.”

TREC family, how are you handling your own challenges? Are you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or discouraged? I encourage you to take a moment—grab a pen and paper—and write down the attributes of our great God. Recall His faithfulness, His love, and His strength. Then turn to Psalm 46 and meditate slowly on its truth.

The Lord is Faithful and True and He will accomplish all He sets out to do. Join us in being apart of what the Lord is so faithfully doing through TREC. We invite you to share in His blessings…Scripture says that the Lord blesses those who give generously, this extends beyond money to include time, effort, and love. The Blessing of Giving is the idea that generosity is rewarding, leading to a deeper sense of purpose and fulfillment. Join us in His work and be blessed!

As we approach the end of the year, we have launched our Year-End Giving Campaign. It is vital that we finish this year strong so we can continue to advance the work God has called us to in the coming year. Would you prayerfully consider including TREC in your year-end giving? We’re excited to announce that you now have the option to donate stock to TREC. Visit our website at www.trecmud.com, where a pop-up will guide you through the steps of how to give and a list of upcoming projects for 2026. We’re excited about the year ahead and all the Lord will do.

We have one final mission to Cuba in November, a group of ladies from a bible study Trudy attends will be in Havana November 6-9 for a women’s conference. They will be ministering to about 70-80 women from four different churches. Pray for them as they love these women and encourage them in a very difficult season of life.

We look forward with great anticipation to see how the Lord continues to move. Thank you, TREC family, for your faithful prayers, generosity, and willingness to go. Together, we will continue to Teach, Reach, Equip, and Comfort as we share the hope of Christ with the nations.

Blessings to you all,

Jeff
