December 2019: Ministry Update

I am so thankful for what God is doing through TREC in Cuba and Nepal. We have said since the inception of TREC that what God has called us to do is way bigger than Trudy, and myself, and our faithful Board of Directors. God is doing amazing things through the TREC Staff and you, our amazing TREC family. As we give, go, and pray, we are seeing God do amazing things as we TEACH, REACH, EQUIP, and COMFORT in Cuba and Nepal.

Through your gifts and prayers in 2019 we have been able to TEACH pastors and conduct marriage enrichment seminars in Cuba and leadership training for churches in Nepal.

We have been able to REACH into Cuba and Nepal by sending in evangelism teams to partner with the local churches of these countries to help advance the gospel. We have had the privilege of seeing God transform people and villages right before our eyes.

We are seeing momentum gaining with our livelihood projects as we EQUIP pastors and their families to provide for themselves through the small businesses that have been started.

Your financial gifts are helping to COMFORT those in need in Cuba and Nepal. The poor and needy (both physically and spiritually) are receiving food, clothing, blankets, water purifiers, and wells. This paves the way for the Gospel to be shared and lives to be made new!

On behalf of Trudy and our TREC Board of Directors, I am asking you to prayerfully consider making a year-end donation to TREC to help to continue to advance the gospel and work the TREC model in these countries. Below you will find a list of current projects we are raising funds for:

  1. Havana Pig Farm: The total startup cost for this small business is $17,000. The funds for half of this project have been provided, and we are praying that the remaining $8,500 balance will be met by the end of this year. This project has the potential to provide finances for the ministry taking place in Havana and support many families who work on the farm.
  2. Video/Photography Business: Our lead translator and TREC partner Manuel is wanting to start a small business in Cuba with the use of video and photography. He is currently doing wedding videos and birthday celebrations, but his equipment needs updating. We want to raise $7,700 to purchase him a new camera body, lenses, laptop, and video editing equipment. He has the skills, he just needs the equipment.
  3. Boots and Bibles: We are raising funds to purchase boots, socks, and bibles to help reach the unreached porters of Annapurna in Nepal. Our goal is to raise $12,000 which will provide boots, socks, and bibles for 100 porters. $1,000 has been provided currently for this project.

Will you prayerfully consider making a year-end gift to one of the projects listed above or towards our TREC General Fund? How awesome it would be to finish 2019 knowing these needs are met and watch how God continues to change lives as we TREC to Cuba and Nepal. We are thankful for you and pray that He blesses you with incredible times with your families this Christmas and that in 2020 He will show you His power in ways that leave you speechless!

Merry Christmas,
Jeff
