That’s what I consider true generosity: You give your all, and yet you always feel as if it costs you nothing – Simone De Beauvoir
Jeff and I just returned from Cuba, where we spent some time with Yunior, Yailli, Albert, and Yissell. We were only there for a few days, but the time spent with them was rich. It was so good to see Yaili in Cuba with her family. She will return to Miami in October for another doctor’s appointment. Pray for them all as the separation has been traumatic for the kids, especially the youngest. We will be going back to Cuba in October the 12th-20th. The first team from Thorington Road Baptist Church will be there the 12th-15th, and then a team from Picayune MS will follow the 16th-20th. In November we also have back-to-back teams starting on the 6th-9th. Some of the ladies from my Tuesday night bible study will do a women’s conference. And then Vaughn Forest Church from Montgomery will be going the 13th-17th. We are looking forward to all the Lord will do!

Next month Jeff and I will leave for India! I am so excited to get back there…it’s been several years since I’ve been and I can’t wait to see all the growth and changes. I will say I’m not looking forward to that plane ride, but I know the Lord will see me through. When we went to visit Jiwan and Esther in Jacksonville, FL a few months ago they shared with us all that is going on and some new villages they’re working in. There may also be some projects that need to be addressed, so we’ll be assessing all of that. We’ll be there September 12-22, and I’m going to need you prayer warriors!
Update from Uganda
Our friend and partner in Uganda, Martin, sent us a picture of the congregation that meets in a little church that we helped put a roof on this summer. We wanted to share it with you and to ask that you remember them in prayer.
Jeff will be going back to Uganda in February to do a pastor’s training for 650 pastors in the area. He will also be looking into starting a new work among the Karamojong goat herders who are mostly unreached. Martin has pointed us toward this project which he has started trying to reach. I’m posting a video Martin sent of a baptism where some of the Karamojong were baptized.

Thank you for all you do to help spread the Good News of Jesus all around the world! Because of your generosity, people’s lives are being made better through the supplies we take into Cuba, fresh water projects, places of worship, and so much more… more importantly people’s lives are being changed through the power of the Holy Spirit and souls are being saved. What YOU do matters!
We couldn’t do it without you!
